Quillbud is made by Hendeca Labs LLC. This page says what Quillbud keeps about you, where it lives, and how to get it or delete it.

What you type stays on your computer

To expand your shortcuts, the Quillbud app watches what you type in other apps. It matches shortcuts on your computer and forgets each keystroke straight away. What you type in other apps is never stored, logged or sent anywhere.

What your account holds

Your email address and name, so you can sign in. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see them.

Your snippets: each one’s shortcut, text, title, folder and when it was last changed. They sync between your computers through Google Cloud Firestore.

Each computer also keeps its own copy of your snippets and settings, so Quillbud works offline. Which snippets you use, and when, stays on that computer.

Payments

If you subscribe to Quillbud Pro, Stripe handles the payment. We keep a record of your plan, when you paid, and how much. We never see or store your card number.

Getting a copy

Sign in at your account page and choose Download my data to get every snippet as a CSV or a JSON file.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your account page or from the app’s Settings. That deletes your sign-in and every snippet stored in your account straight away. Copies the app has already saved on your computers stay on them until you delete the app or its data.

What we keep, and why: if you ever paid for Quillbud, we keep the payment records (what you bought, the amount, the date, and the email on the receipt). Tax and accounting law requires businesses to keep these for several years, and data protection law allows keeping what a legal duty requires. Nothing else is kept.

Who else sees it

Nobody, except the services that run Quillbud for us: Google Firebase (sign-in and sync) and Stripe (payments). We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
